Storing print jobs on the printer’s Hard Disk Drive

Send a printing order once to the HDD (Hard Disk Drive) of the printer and the system manages volume printing.

Key benefits
• No need for a PC to re-print
• Your printer becomes a “print on demand” device
• No Network overload because the print job is stored in the printer HDD.

You can achieve this by using the driver Reserve Job function. It allows you to store print jobs on the printer’s Hard Disk Drive and to print them later directly from the printer’s control panel or remotely from your PC using EpsonNet tools. Thanks to the thumbnail feature which lets you easily manage your stored jobs through EpsonNet Config (Web) or EpsonNet WebManager.

Four options allow you to choose exactly the way you want to manage your jobs.

Here's an overview of the Reserve Job options:

Reserve Job Option Description
Re-Print Job Lets you print the job now and store it for reprinting later.
Verify Job Lets you print one copy now to verify the content before printing multiple copies.
Stored Job Lets you save the print job without printing it now.
Confidential Job Lets you apply a password to the print job and save it for printing later.

The following Epson laser printers are recommended for volume printing:
AcuLaser C4200
AcuLaser C9100
EPL-N3000
EPL-N2500

Dispatching the workload on clustered printers

EpsonNet Cluster tool is an efficient and simple solution to achieve high volume printing with standard office printers. Using a specific interface in one of your Epson networked printers, The EpsonNet cluster tool will send document copies to the other printers in the cluster.

Key Benefits:
• Achieve high speed for document copies with standard printers
• If one printer fails or is not reachable, your document will still be printed on one of the other printers
• Easy to set-up and use: simply enter the IP address for the printer you want in the cluster

You can define the following printing modes:

1 – Duplicate mode
This mode is used to overcome the Microsoft windows limitation of 999 copies for a document. It is also used to send copies on different printers by sending the document once only.
2 – Cluster print mode
In this mode EpsonNet Cluster will split your document copies into the number of printers defined in the cluster e.g. if you send 100 copies to your cluster of 3 printers, you will receive: 33 copies / 33 copies and 34 copies split across the different printers.
